Center Introduction

Intelligent Robotic Research Center is a cross-disciplinary research center and tech innovation hub at Zhejiang Lab. Focusing on the area of intelligent robotics, it is supported by the collaborative efforts of multiple project teams. The center combines the Lab's core strengths in artificial intelligence and network information to focus its research on cutting-edge basic science areas such as autonomous operation, intelligent decision making, and intuitive human-machine interaction and collaboration of intelligent robots in unstructured environments. By studying key technologies in intelligent robotics and engaging in industry-university-research collaboration, the center aims to become a first-class innovation center for intelligent robots.

Under the leadership of Professor Zhu Shiqiang, who is a renowned expert in robotics and President of Zhejiang Lab, the center has formed a cohesive, powerful, and innovative research team which includes a number of academicians, experts, and outstanding young scholars from China and abroad. At present, the center has started or planned major research projects in areas such as intelligent low-altitude manned aircrafts, bipedal robots, space robots, and cloud control platforms for intelligent robots, gradually showing its research outcomes.
