Geared towards significant needs for easing urban traffic congestion, the project aims to develop a research and application platform based on intelligent computing to solve vital technical problems, such as safe autonomous piloting of intelligent low-altitude manned aircrafts, and to explore air traffic solutions for future cities.

At present, the project team has developed a first-generation prototype of an intelligent low-altitude manned aircraft, which has successfully made its maiden flight. The team is now carrying out research on key technologies in intelligent aircraft, such as dynamic obstacle avoidance and path planning, fault and disaster tolerance mechanisms, safety control, and innovative configuration design.
