Manuela Veloso is Head of J.P. Morgan Chase AI Research and Herbert A. Simon University Professor Emerita at Carnegie Mellon University, where she was previously Faculty in the Computer Science Department and Head of the Machine Learning Department. Her recent interests are in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Symbiotic Human-Robot Autonomy, Continuous Learning Systems, and AI in Finance. She is past President of the Association for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AAAI), and the co-founder and a past President of the RoboCup Federation. In her career she has received numerous awards and honors, including: National Science Foundation CAREER Award, Allen Newell Medal for Excellence in Research, Radcliffe Fellow, Einstein Chair Professor of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the ACM/SIGART Autonomous Agents Research Award. Veloso is a Fellow of AAAI, AAAS, ACM, and IEEE. She was elected in 2022 to the National Academy of Engineering for her “contributions to artificial intelligence and its applications in robotics and the financial service industry.”

　　Luping SHI is a Professor, Found Director of Center for Brain Inspired Computing Research (CBICR), at Tsinghua University, China. He is an International institute of cognitive information and cognitive computing (I2CICC) fellow and a Society of Photo-Optical Instrumentation Engineers (SPIE) fellow. He received Doctor of Science from University of Cologne, Germany in 1992. He joined THU in 2013 to found CBICR, which is a center to study on brain inspired computing in all directions including fundamental theory, chip, software, system and application. His areas of expertise include brain inspired computing, data storage, intelligence instrument and photonics. He has published more than 200 papers in prestigious journals (including Science, Nature, Nat Photonics, Sci Robotics and so on).

　　Prof. Tongyi ZHANG is the Chief Scientist of Materials Intelligent Computing at Zhejiang Lab, the founding dean of Materials Genome Institute, Shanghai University, and the founding director of the Materials Genome Engineering division in the Chinese Materials Research Society (CMRS). Currently he is doing his best to promote Materials Genome Engineering and Materials/Mechanics Informatics, especially, materials AI labs, materials AI computations, and materials large multimodal model. He is the founding Editor-in-Chief of Journal of Materials Informatics and was the Editor-in-Chief of Science China Technological Sciences 2018-2022. He received the awards including the 2018 Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress from the HLHL Foundation, the Second Prizes of 2007 and 1987 State Natural Science Award, China, and the 1988 National Award for Young Scientists, China. He became Fellow of International Congress on Fracture in 2013, Fellow of the Hong Kong Academy of Engineering Sciences in 2012, Member of Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2011, Senior Research Fellow of Croucher Foundation, Hong Kong, in 2003, Fellow of ASM International, USA, in 2001. He is also the Vice President of the International Congress on Fracture, the Vice President of the Far East and Oceanic Fracture Society, and the Honorary President of the Chinese Society for Corrosion and Protection. He is also the Director of the Ninth Session of the division for Environmental Degradation and Failure of Materials and Structures in the Chinese Society for Corrosion and Protection.

　　Danica Kragic is a Professor at the School of Computer Science and Communication at the Royal Institute of Technology, KTH. She received MSc in Mechanical Engineering from the Technical University of Rijeka, Croatia in 1995 and PhD in Computer Science from KTH in 2001. She has been a visiting researcher at Columbia University, Johns Hopkins University and INRIA Rennes. She is the Director of the Centre for Autonomous Systems. Danica received the 2007 IEEE Robotics and Automation Society Early Academic Career Award. She is a member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences, Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences and Founding member of Young Academy of Sweden. She holds a Honorary Doctorate from the Lappeenranta University of Technology. She chaired IEEE RAS Technical Committee on Computer and Robot Vision and served as an IEEE RAS AdCom member. Her research is in the area of robotics, computer vision and machine learning. In 2012, she received an ERC Starting Grant and in 2019 Distinguished Professor Grant from the Swedish research Council. Her research is supported by the Knut and Alice Wallenberg Foundation, Swedish Foundation for Strategic Research, EU and Swedish Research Council.

　　Sylvain Gigan is Professor of Physics at Sorbonne Université in Paris, and group leader in Laboratoire Kastler-Brossel, at Ecole Normale Supérieure (ENS, Paris). His research interests focuses on light propagation in complex media, and range from fundamental investigations, biomedical imaging, computational imaging, signal processing, to quantum information. He is also the cofounder of a spin-off: LightOn (www.lighton.ai) developing optical computing solutions for machine learning. After graduating from Ecole Polytechnique (Palaiseau France) in 2000, and a Master Specialization in Optics from University Paris XI (Orsay, France), he obtained a PhD in Physics 2004 from University Pierre and Marie Curie (Paris, France) in quantum and non-linear Optics. From 2004 to 2007, he was a postdoctoral researcher in Vienna University (Austria), working on quantum optomechanics, in the group of Markus Aspelmeyer and Anton Zeilinger. From 2007 to 2014, he was at ESPCI ParisTech in Paris, as Associate Professor, and started working on optical imaging in complex media and wavefront shaping techniques, at the Langevin Institute. He was appointed full professor at Sorbonne Université in 2014 and joined the LKB as group leader. He was awarded the Fabry de Gramont Prize of the French Optical Society in 2016, the Joseph Fourier ATOS prize in 2018, the Jean Jerphagnon Prize in 2019. He is the recipient of two ERC grants in 2011 and 2017. He is Optica Fellow. He was a member of the Institut Universitaire de France (2016-2021). He is Editor of Optics Communications, Optica, Intelligent Computing & eLight.

　　Xin PENG received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in control science and engineering from the East China University of Science and Technology, Shanghai, China, in 2009 and 2012, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in control science and engineering from the Key Laboratory of Advanced Control and Optimization for Chemical Processes, Ministry of Education, East China University of Science and Technology in 2017. From 2017 to 2019, he was a Postdoctoral Researcher with the University of Duisburg Essen, Duisburg, Germany. His research interests include process monitoring and system modeling of chemical and biological processes, data mining, and feature extraction of process data. Currently, he is focusing on developing intelligent software engineering techniques and tools for software development, maintenance, and operation. He leads the CodeWisdom Team in Fudan University. He has won the Best Paper Award of ICSM 2011, the ACM SIGSOFT Distinguished Paper Award of ASE 2018/2021 and ICPC 2022, the IEEE TCSE Distinguished Paper Award of ICSME 2018/2019/2020, and IEEE Transactions on Software Engineering Best Paper award for 2018.

　　Björn W. Schuller received his diploma, doctoral degree, habilitation, and Adjunct Teaching Professor in Machine Intelligence and Signal Processing all in EE/IT from TUM in Munich/Germany. He is Full Professor of Artificial Intelligence and the Head of GLAM at Imperial College London/UK, Full Professor and Chair of Embedded Intelligence for Health Care and Wellbeing at the University of Augsburg/Germany, co-founding CEO and current CSO of audEERING – an Audio Intelligence company based near Munich and in Berlin/Germany, independent research leader within the Alan Turing Institute as part of the UK Health Security Agency, and permanent Visiting Professor at HIT/China amongst other Professorships and Affiliations. Previous stays include Guest Professor at Southeast University in Nanjing/China, Full Professor at the University of Passau/Germany, Key Researcher at Joanneum Research in Graz/Austria, and the CNRS-LIMSI in Orsay/France. He is a Fellow of the IEEE and Golden Core Awardee of the IEEE Computer Society, Fellow of the BCS, Fellow of the ELLIS, Fellow of the ISCA, Fellow and President-Emeritus of the AAAC, Elected Full Member Sigma Xi, and Senior Member of the ACM. He (co-)authored 1,200+ publications (50,000+ citations, h-index=100+ ranking him number 7 in the UK for Computer Science), is Field Chief Editor of Frontiers in Digital Health and was Editor in Chief of the IEEE Transactions on Affective Computing amongst manifold further commitments and service to the community. His 50+ awards include having been honoured as one of 40 extraordinary scientists under the age of 40 by the WEF in 2015. He served as Coordinator/PI in 15+ European Projects, is an ERC Starting and DFG Reinhart-Koselleck Grantee, and consultant of companies such as Barclays, GN, Huawei, Informetis, or Samsung. 　　Cynthia Matuszek holds a Ph.D. from the University of Washington, and is an associate professor of computer science and electrical engineering at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. She is the director and founder of UMBC's Interactive Robotics and Language lab. The work of her team is focused on how robots can learn to understand the world and their tasks from natural language, with the ultimate goal of allowing robots to be deployed in human-centric environments where they must be flexible in their interactions with non-specialists. This research includes natural language grounding, in which robots solve the classical symbol grounding problem by combining language with sensor-based perception of the environment based on novel machine learning approaches. Her work also focuses on human-robot interaction, studying how robots and humans can interact smoothly using language as a medium for shared understanding. Prior to her work in robotics, Dr. Matuszek worked for Cycorp Inc., a very long-running research project focused on solving computer common sense using classical artificial intelligence approaches. Her work spans publications in machine learning, artificial intelligence, robotics, knowledge representation, and human-robot interaction venues.

　　Leo Christov-Moore is a cognitive neuroscientist and theorist in Los Angeles, California. He currently serves as primary investigator of the E4 project at the Institute for Advanced Consciousness Studies in Santa Monica, California, and as a research fellow at the Brain and Creativity Institute at the University of Southern California. He holds a B.S. in Psychology from Duke University, and a Ph.D. in Neuroscience from UCLA. He has published work on the neural underpinnings of empathic concern, vulnerability and allostasis in the development of artificial empathy, applications of complexity theory to the multiscale study of trust, mechanistic accounts of belief's role in bodily function, and the technodelic emulation of altered states of consciousness.

　　Yixiong WEI, Ph.D., Senior Engineer, and Engineering Expert at Zhejiang Lab, has long been engaged in engineering application research in the fields of digital twin, augmented/mixed reality, high-performance computing, and digitalized and intelligence-empowered nuclear fusion. He has led or participated in multiple projects funded by the State Administration of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defence and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. He has received 11 scientific and technological awards, including the first prize of the Scientific and Technological Progress Award of Anhui Province, the China Patent Excellence Award, the first prize from the China Association for Quality, and the first prize of Science and Technology Award of China Electronics Technology Group Corporation (CETC). He has been granted 29 international/national invention patents, contributed to 1 international standard, and served as the chief editor or contributor to 6 national standards and 13 industry standards. Currently, he is leading the research and development of the digital twin system for the intelligent simulation and control of nuclear fusion.

　　Hongyang CHEN, who received his Ph.D. from the University of Tokyo in 2011, used to be a Researcher at Fujitsu Laboratories Ltd. in Japan, and is currently the Deputy Director and Senior Research Expert of Zhejiang Lab's Research Center for Graph Computing, mainly engaged in research on big data and AI, and data-driven intelligent systems. He has held academic positions such as editor of several well-known IEEE journals and field chairman of IEEE international conferences, and has undertaken China's National Key R&D Programs and General Programs of National Natural Science Foundation of China. In addition, he has published more than 70 papers in ACM/IEEE journals and CCF-A conferences. He holds more than 30 international patents in the field of information and communications technology (ICT), many of which have been adopted as international standards. He won the Best Paper Award at the 2009 IEEE International Symposium on Personal, Indoor and Mobile Radio Communications (PIMRC), and was the global champion of the OGB Challenge. He was elected as IEEE Distinguished Lecturer in 2020, and was awarded the “2022 China's Intelligent Computing Technology Innovators” and “2023 China's Young Pioneer in Computational Power”.

　　Dacheng MA, a PI and associate research fellow at the Zhejiang Lab Bio-computing Research Center, holds a Ph.D. in Control Science and Engineering from Tsinghua University. His doctoral advisor was Professor Xie Zhen. After obtaining his Ph.D., he conducted postdoctoral training in the research groups of Timothy K. Lu at MIT and Gao Xue at Rice University. Ma Dacheng's research focuses on the interdisciplinary fusion of IT and BT. He is particularly interested in metagenome mining, development of synthetic biological components, and protein modification. He has been granted 4 China invention patents and successfully obtained a U.S. patent for one of his inventions. Ma Dacheng has published 12 papers in renowned journals such as Nature Communications and JACS. He has also served as the principal investigator for projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China. He has received honors and awards including the SB7.0 Scholar Travel Award and the Keystone Symposia Future of Science Fund Scholarship.

　　Fei GAO is a tenured associate professor at the Department of Control Science and Engineering, Zhejiang University, where he leads the Flying Autonomous Robotics (FAR) group affiliated with the Field Autonomous System and Computing (FAST) Laboratory. He also works as PI for the Center of Autonomous Navigation of Swarm Robotics in Huzhou Institute, Zhejiang University. His research interests include aerial robots, swarm robots, autonomous navigation, motion planning, and localization and mapping. As the first or corresponding author, he has published over 50 prestigious papers in Robotics, including ICRA, IROS, ISER, ISRR, RAL, JFR, TRO, and Science Robotics. He is also the recipient of the IEEE-TRO 2020 King-Sun Fu Best Paper Award Honorable Mention, the IEEE-SSRR 2016 best paper award, the IEEE/RSJ IROS 2021 best Application Paper Finalist, and the Outstanding Candidate Award of 2022 DAMO Academy Young Fellow. His research has been reported multiple times by mainstream technology media, such as Times, AAAS, IEEE Spectrum and Science.

　　Nicolas Heess is a research scientist at Google DeepMind, London. His interests center on artificial intelligence and machine learning, perception, motor control and robotics. He has worked on the theory and applications of reinforcement learning, unsupervised learning, probabilistic models and inference. One of his long term goals is to develop algorithms and architectures that enable embodied agents to learn to sense, reason and act intelligently in the physical world. Prior to joining DeepMind Nicolas was a postdoctoral researcher at the Gatsby Unit (UCL) and completed his PhD at the University of Edinburgh.

　　Amos Matsiko is the Editor for Science Robotics and is responsible for the publication of content at the journal. He previously worked at Springer Nature for Nature Materials and Nature Communications before joining the American Association for the Advancement of Science. At Science Robotics, he handles articles covering the entire robotics field, from autonomy and robot control to bionics and prosthetic devices. During the talk, Amos will give an overview of the different journals in the Science family as well as provide an inside look at the editorial process involved in publishing an article at Science Robotics.

　　Honggang ZHANG is the Chief Managing Editor of Intelligent Computing, a Science Partner Journal, as well as a Professor with the College of Information Science and Electronic Engineering, Zhejiang University, Hangzhou, China. He was an Honorary Visiting Professor with the University of York, York, UK, and an International Chair Professor of excellence with the Université Européenne de Bretagne and Supélec, France. He has coauthored and edited two books: Cognitive Communications: Distributed Artificial Intelligence (DAI), Regulatory Policy & Economics, Implementation (John Wiley & Sons) and Green Communications: Theoretical Fundamentals, Algorithms and Applications (CRC Press), respectively. His research interests include cognitive radio and networks, green communications, mobile computing, machine learning, artificial intelligence, and the Internet of Intelligence. He is a co-recipient of the 2021 IEEE Communications Society Outstanding Paper Award and the 2021 IEEE Internet of Things Journal Best Paper Award. He was the leading Guest Editor for the Special Issues on Green Communications of the IEEE Communications Magazine. He served as a Series Editor for the IEEE Communications Magazine (Green Communications and Computing Networks Series) from 2015 to 2018, and the Chair of the Technical Committee on Cognitive Networks of the IEEE Communications Society from 2011 to 2012. He is an Associate Editor-in-Chief of China Communications.
