On May 22, Ma Bowei, Director-General and Party Secretary of the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Justice, visited Zhejiang Lab with his team. This visit was part of his service plan for foundational organizations.
Director-General Ma first visited the Research Center for Intelligent Sensing, the Research Center for Industrial Internet, and the Exhibition Hall. He also listened to an introduction of the Lab’s research plans, talent recruitment programs, research projects, and massive scientific facilities. He said that the Department of Justice will provide full support and services for the development of the Lab. The Department will quickly organize capable teams in Zhejiang’s judicial community to carry out research on the legal protection of novel research institutions, and establish a legal service team for the Lab, supporting the Lab’s efforts to create a world-class basic research and tech innovation center.
Zhejiang Lab President Zhu Shiqiang hopes that in the Lab’s journey to becoming a national laboratory, the two sides will work closely to facilitate the Lab’s institutional innovation as a novel research organization from legal perspectives, and explore Zhejiang’s own path to building a national laboratory.
